Our company’s mission is to provide honest, reliable service that stands head and shoulders above the rest.
In 1989, after working several years as a general manager and superintendent for an underground utility company in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, Bob Hardy decided to venture on his own and form his first underground utility company specializing in trenching and horizontal jack and boring ( a trenchless technology). His company’s expertise included the installation of telephone, electric, sewer, and water.
In addition the company installed several thousand miles of gas mains and services throughout the Southern Maryland area as a sub-contractor for Washington Gas for 15+ years. Over the decades his dedication to accurate and safe installation of underground products produced a valued reputation in the greater Washington Metropolitan area. As the years progressed, technology in the trenchless methods industry became more sophisticated which forced the expansion of the scope and abilities of his company to providing horizontal directional drilling. With the new technology of directional drilling he has overseen thousands of miles of gas, cable, electric, and sewer pipe installation. Naturally, his passion for challenging and rewarding work was passed on to his son, Owen Hardy.
Owen worked beside his father and gained experience and education in the industry. His natural curiosity of the drilling equipment facilitated his passion and expert abilities with this equipment. Owen has more than a decade of horizontal directional drilling experience and hundreds of miles of pipe successfully installed. He is dedicated to meeting the needs of the customer, and providing safe and accurate work just as his father did for so many years.
